ReLEx smile is the most gentle eye laser treatment, and we are the private eye clinic in Northern Europe that has performed most of this type of treatment. ReLEx smile is made with the advanced ZEISS VisuMax 500 kHz femtosecond laser, which is the market's safest and most accurate laser, and our laser surgeon and ophthalmologist dr. med. ReLEx smile ("State of art")

From a purely professional viewpoint, ReLEx smile is state of the art in the treatment of myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism and we correct myopia to -10.0 D and astigmatism to -5.0 D. It is not yet possible to correct hyperopia (longsightedness) using ReLEx smile, and most often we recommend (Wavefront) FS-LASIK to this group. We correct hyperopia up to +4.0 D.

One of the most active European refractive laser surgeons

All our laser treatments are carried out by eye surgeon Sven Asp, MD, DMSCi who has performed more than 12.000 laser treatments, including more than 7.000 ReLEx smile (a European record). Dr. Asp holds a permanent position at the Department of Ophthalmology at Aarhus University Hospital, where he conducts more than 90% of the laser treatments, and he is one of the most active European refractive laser surgeons.

LASEK (PRK/"NO CUT")

The learning curve with ReLEx smile is long, and optimal results are achieved after many procedures (probably more than 1000 treatments) and performing high volume, only.
