What is the difference between lens and laser surgery?
A lens operation results in you getting a brand new synthetic lens implanted, but we do not touch the cornea. This type of surgery is particularly suitable for patients aged 45 and over, as their natural lens is often becoming stiffer – resulting in presbyopia, or calcified – resulting in cataracts

There are no hard and fast rules, and we have also performed laser treatments on individuals over 60 years old. A thorough pre-examination will determine if you are a candidate for laser surgery.
